Mazda Australia is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician - Service Information Author to translate hands-on automotive knowledge into clear technical content for our dealer network and external subscribers.

The role is full-time and on-site at our Mulgrave office, requiring five days a week collaboration to support vehicle information materials, recalls, and model launches while enhancing customer service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Create and publish technical content for Mazda Dealer Network and external subscribers.
• Communicate complex topics clearly to dealers, external agents and customers via multiple channels.
• Review, update and roll out vehicle support materials such as owner’s manuals and workshop manuals.
• Contribute to new model planning to ensure technical information is ready to launch.
• Develop and coordinate recalls, service programs and port reworks.
• Manage local vendor component exchange programs and diagnostic/repair procedures.
• Support MVIS compliance and manage external subscription requests and information access.

We’re looking for an experienced automotive technician ready to take their skills beyond the workshop and into technical authorship. As an Automotive Technician - Service Information Author, you’ll translate your hands-on knowledge into clear, accurate technical content that supports and educates our dealer network. Your work will play a key role in maintaining Mazda’s reputation for quality, reliability and outstanding customer service.

This role requires a full-time, on-site presence at our Mulgrave office, five days a week, to foster collaboration, strengthen team connections and ensure seamless support across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Create and publish technical content for the Mazda Dealer Network and our external subscribers.

Communicate complex technical topics clearly to a range of stakeholders, such as dealers, external agents and customers, via bulletins, videos, emails, SMS, phone and online platforms.

Take charge of reviewing, updating and rolling out vehicle support materials such as owner’s manuals and workshop manuals.

Contribute to the new model planning process to ensure technical information and support materials are ready to launch.

Develop and coordinate activities associated with vehicle recalls, special service programs and port reworks.

Manage local vendor component exchange programs and prepare local accessory fitting instructions and diagnostic and repair procedures.

Support compliance with the Motor Vehicle Service and Repair Information Sharing Scheme (MVIS) and other associated legislative requirements by managing external subscription requests and provision of information and systems.

You are a seasoned automotive technician with extensive vehicle knowledge and take pride in sharing this with others. With a strong technical foundation and a knack for clear, practical communication, you enjoy guiding, supporting, and empowering colleagues and dealer networks through your expertise.

To be successful, you will have:
