Qualifications

• Graduated from a certificate or diploma level in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
• Proven experience in fault finding using diagnostic knowledge and initiative.
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• A positive attitude and enthusiasm for motorcycles.
• Strong people skills and solid computer literacy.
• A valid driver's licence.
• A team player who thrives in a fast-paced workshop.
• A commitment to excellent customer service and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end servicing and repairs as per BMW guidelines.
• Carry out repairs, maintenance, diagnostics and part replacements.
• Ensure quality in reassembling, testing and cleaning repairs.
• Inspect vehicles for roadworthiness and create work lists for certification.
• Supervise apprentices and maintain an organised workshop.
• Ensure warranty parts are properly tagged and stored.
• Identify problems and evaluate solutions based on information available.
• Communicate with drivers to gather information and perform test drives if needed.
• Accurately complete vehicle details and requisition orders.
• Use electronic test equipment to diagnose malfunctions in vehicle systems.
• Oversee minor body or trim repairs and follow OEM guidelines.

About the role

As a Technician, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end servicing and repairs, playing a key role in delivering high-quality workmanship and reliable outcomes for our customers.

Jowett Motor Group was born from the experience and forethought of Tony Jowett in 1995 with brands Audi, Volkswagen and Subaru, before opening Eastern Honda Doncaster in 2000 which remains today.
