Job summary

Mornington Toyota, part of HFH Auto Group, is seeking a qualified Automotive Technician to join our Service team on the Mornington Peninsula.

You'll perform repairs to manufacturer and dealer standards, diagnose faults, complete workshop paperwork, and maintain tools. A valid Roadworthy Certificate licence or willingness to obtain one is highly regarded; a manual Victorian licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Formal qualifications in motor mechanics.
• Full Victorian driver’s licence (manual).
• Roadworthy Certificate (RWC) licence – or willingness to obtain one.
• Experience with roadworthy/reconditioning is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle repairs and maintenance to required standards.
• Diagnose faults and consult Workshop Controller as needed.
• Complete paperwork to dealership standards with clear work descriptions.
• Maintain knowledge of products and services.
• Care for workshop tools and keep personal toolkit organized.
• Return vehicles clean and ready for customers.
• Used-car reconditioning experience and RWC licence is advantageous.

We're continuing to grow, and we don't see that slowing down. To keep pace, we're looking for a qualified Automotive Technician to join the Service team at Mornington Toyota.

About the role

As a Technician, you'll carry out vehicle repairs and maintenance to manufacturer, dealership and customer standards, quality work, done right and on time. Day to day, you will:

• Complete repairs and servicing in line with the repair order and Toyota, dealership and customer requirements and let the Workshop Controller know promptly if anything can't be done
• Diagnose faults and call on the Workshop Controller for support when needed
• Complete all paperwork to dealership standards, including a clear description of the work carried out on each repair order
• Maintain a sound working knowledge of our products and services
• Take care of all workshop tools and equipment, returning them to their correct place after use
• Keep a complete and up-to-date personal tool kit
• Return every vehicle clean and ready for the customer
• Used-car reconditioning experience and a Roadworthy (RWC) Licence would be a distinct advantage.
