Job summary

BuildRight Construction AU in Australia is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician who can demonstrate genuine qualifications, hands-on capability and a consistent record of professional work. A valid Australian Driver’s Licence is required.

This permanent opportunity is suited to technicians who take pride in accurate diagnostics, quality repairs and dependable workmanship. The workshop operates Monday to Friday, with full-time and part-time options and flexible start and finish times

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in LightVehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of post-apprenticeship automotive experience.
• Hands-on experience across different vehicle makes and models.
• Strong mechanical diagnosis and fault-finding ability.
• Proficient with modern automotive scan and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to provide genuine evidence of qualifications and employment history.

Responsibilities

• Completes scheduled servicing, logbook maintenance and mechanical repairs.
• Diagnose vehicle faults using modern scan tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Carry out mechanical inspections and identify faults accurately.
• Repair and maintain a variety of vehicle makes and models.
• Follow manufacturers servicing and repair requirements.
• Record completed work clearly and accurately.
• Explain identified vehicle issues and completed repairs to customers when required.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, efficiency and workshop safety.
• Work effectively with other technicians and workshop staff.
• Use workshop tools, equipment and diagnostics systems responsibly.
