Job summary

Pedders Suspension & Brakes currently has an Automotive Mechanic/Technician position at our Keswick store. You will work with a team of automotive specialists on wheel alignment, suspension and brake repairs, and fault diagnosis.

The role requires a valid manual licence and experience with various vehicle makes. We offer weekday hours, incentives, overtime, and opportunities for career progression within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Team player with strong communication and attention to detail.
• Experience across multiple vehicle makes and models is desirable.
• Manual driving licence required or ability to drive manuals.
• Cert III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology preferred.
• Previous experience in automotive roles such as mechanic or technician.

Responsibilities

• Perform wheel alignment and general suspension/steering repairs.
• Carry out brake repairs and fault diagnosis.
• Assist with electrical installations including towbars as required.
• Liaise with customers and explain repairs and timelines.

What You Bring To The Team

• Previous experience in any of these positions: Automotive Parts Installer, Mechanic, Automotive Technician, Brake Mechanic, Automotive Service Technician, Mechanical installer (with basic wheel alignment preferred)
• Evidence of working across different vehicle makes and models
• Full drivers’ licence with an ability to drive manual
• A team player who has strong verbal communication skills and attention to detail
• Cert III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (preferred)
