Job summary

Freedom Motors Australia P/L – St Marys NSW is hiring a full-time Automotive Accessories Installer to join our team. You will install and service modified vehicles and mobility products for customers in the disability sector, ensuring high quality workmanship.

Requirements include a Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology and at least 2 years of relevant experience, plus good communication skills and the ability to work independently in a workshop setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly manuals.
• Honesty, integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience with modified vehicles and mobility products.
• Install mechanical and electrical mobility accessories (hoists, lifters, steps, docking systems, restraints).
• Perform auto electrical work and wiring for wheelchair-access vehicles.
• Diagnose faults and quality issues.
• Service, repair and maintain modified vehicles, buses and mobility products.
• Work efficiently to meet deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment.
• Assist with other tasks as required.

We are seeking a qualified Automotive Accessories Installer to join our growing team. You will gain great job satisfaction in a rewarding role, helping our customers in the disability sector achieve their goals and dreams to access their community.

Job Task Responsibility:

• Hands-on experience working with modified vehicles and other mobility products
• Install mechanical and electrical mobility accessories such as wheelchair hoists, lifters, automatic steps, wheelchair docking systems, restraint systems, driving controls, winches, and other related products
• Perform auto electrical work and wiring for vehicles modified for wheelchair access
• Diagnose, identify, and solve faults, damage, or quality issues
• Conduct servicing, repairs, and general maintenance on modified vehicles, buses and mobility products
• Work efficiently to meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently in a workshop setting
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Assist with other tasks as required
