Job summary

AYVA Packaging group in Sydney seeks an experienced Industrial Automation Technician to support PLC‑driven automation, robotics and injection moulding machinery in a high‑volume manufacturing environment. This hands‑on role focuses on fault finding, preventative maintenance, die setting and continuous improvement to maximise OEE, safety and product quality.

You will work closely with production, maintenance and quality teams to minimise downtime and support reliable 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechatronic engineering.
3–4 years hands-on industrial automation experience in production/manufacturing.
PLC development with fluency in structured text and ladder logic.
Robot integration in handling, inspection or packaging.

Responsibilities

Integrate industrial robots and verify safety interlocks.
Root-cause analysis and fault diagnosis for automation equipment 24/7.
Service, repair and setup injection moulding machines and robotics.
Fault-find and replace mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic components.
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance and calibrations.
Support die changes, machine start-ups and process parameter optimisation.
Collaborate with QA to meet regulatory and quality standards.
