Job summary

Kalfresh Vegetables is seeking an Afternoon Shift Maintenance Fitter to focus on reliability, maintenance and installation of our automated vegetable processing equipment. Based in Kalbar, Queensland, you’ll work with a cross-functional team to improve production lines and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires mechanical trade qualifications, 5+ years in automated packing equipment maintenance, and strong fault-finding skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience maintaining automated packing equipment in a food processing environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, operate, fault-find and repair farming and processing equipment in a fast-paced production environment.
• Install, test and set up new food processing and packing equipment.
• Install or relocate, modify, test and set up new/refurbished equipment.
• Troubleshoot and fix equipment issues.
• Coach and mentor the production team to increase fault correction and troubleshooting.
• Maximise up-time through effective maintenance activities.
• Facilitate continuous improvement through broad system knowledge and site-specific enhancements.
