Job summary

Seeley International, a leader in climate control solutions, seeks an automation specialist to own end-to-end automation strategy. You will identify opportunities, build business cases, and drive projects from concept through commissioning on time and within budget on site in Adelaide.

You will work hands-on with mechanical design, PLCs, robotics, and servo systems, partnering with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance to shape a transformational automation program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Automation or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years' experience in automation and robotics within a manufacturing setting.
• Proven track record delivering automation projects and strategy.
• Working knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, camera systems, AGVs, robots and barcoding technology.

Responsibilities

• Identify and scope automation opportunities, and build the business case for investment
• Lead automation projects from design through to delivery, reporting on milestones and ROI
• Develop mechanical machine mechanisms, assemblies and function algorithms; specify and program PLCs, robots and servos as required
• Shape Seeley's broader digital automation transformation strategy in partnership with stakeholders
• Train operators and build internal robotics capability across the site
