Automation Engineer

THE ROLE

Based in Launceston, as an Automation Engineer you will provide electrical design, programming, consultancy & management services to clients. You will also be responsible for:

• Collaborate with clients and engineers to analyse requirements, prepare functional specifications, and create accurate AutoCAD drawings.
• Design electrical panels and equipment, draft material and equipment specifications, and review technical drawings and system specs to ensure compliance with standards and customer needs.
• PLC / RTU and SCADA programming & configuration.
• Testing, implementation and installation of equipment/software and ensure it complies with specifications, standards, codes & customer requirements.

ABOUT YOU

You will be a degree qualified engineer with a minimum of 2 years proven experience in industrial automation in either manufacturing, water, or oil & gas. As a successful candidate seeking a long-term role, you will possess the following skills and attributes:

• An Australian-recognised Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical, Mechatronic, or Automation).
• Demonstrated experience with PLC & SCADA configuration and programming knowledge - Ignition and Citect SCADA.
• Ability to use AutoCAD to design and alter electrical drawings.
• Strong analytical ability to problem-solve and provide solutions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
