Job summary

The Mack Group is seeking an experienced AutoCAD and Revit Draftsperson to join our Commercial Kitchen Design Consultancy team in Sydney, NSW 2000. This contract position requires producing high-quality architectural drawings and models and coordinating with architects, engineers and project managers.

You will translate design concepts into precise technical documentation that guides construction and renovation projects, maintaining accuracy, clarity and compliance across all project

Qualifications

• Proven ability to produce professional-quality drawings.
• Strong understanding of architectural drawing conventions and building codes.
• Experience in architectural or construction drafting within a design practice.
• Knowledge of Commercial Kitchen projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed drawings and plans using AutoCAD and Revit for Commercial Kitchen projects.
• Develop 2D and 3D models representing design specifications and construction requirements.
• Prepare drawing sets including floor plans, elevations, sections and details.
• Ensure drawings comply with codes, standards and client specs.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to refine designs and resolve issues.
• Update drawings based on feedback and maintain project records.

Job description

The Mack Group is seeking an experienced AutoCAD and Revit Draftsperson to join our Commercial Kitchen Design Consultancy team. This is a contract position based in Sydney NSW 2000. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality architectural drawings and models using industry-standard software. You will work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and project managers to translate design concepts into precise technical documentation that guides construction and renovation projects. This position is integral to ensuring that our projects meet rigorous standards for accuracy, clarity, and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed drawings and plans using AutoCAD and Revit software for Commercial Kitchen Projects
• Develop 2D and 3D models that accurately represent design specifications and construction requirements
• Prepare drawing sets including floor plans, elevations, sections, and detail drawings
• Ensure all drawings comply with relevant building codes, standards, and client specifications
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to refine designs and resolve technical issues
• Update and modify drawings based on feedback from project teams and stakeholders
• Maintain accurate documentation and project records throughout the drafting process
• Coordinate with other team members to ensure consistency across all project documentation
• Prepare drawing schedules, specifications, and other supporting documentation as required

What we're looking for

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit software, with demonstrated ability to produce professional-quality drawings
• Strong understanding of architectural drawing conventions, building codes, and construction practices
• Experience in architectural or construction drafting within a professional design practice
• Knowledge of Food Safety regulation and Experience in Design and Documentation of Commercial Kitchen projects is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy across complex drawing sets
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
• Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
• Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modelling) principles and practices is highly desirable
• Problem-solving skills and proactive approach to identifying and resolving drafting challenges
• Relevant qualifications in architectural technology or similar discipline are preferred
