Job summary

Townsville GMSV is seeking a motivated, customer‑focused Service Advisor to join our busy aftersales team. In a fast-paced automotive environment, you will build relationships with customers and deliver outstanding service.

You’ll greet customers, manage service bookings, discuss servicing needs, prepare estimates and invoices, and liaise with workshop staff to keep customers updated. A current driver’s licence and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a customer-facing automotive role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy team environment.
• Experience using dealership management systems (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers and managing service bookings.
• Consulting with customers regarding vehicle servicing and repair requirements.
• Preparing repair orders and job documentation.
• Liaising between customers and workshop technicians.
• Providing updates on vehicle progress and completion times.
• Preparing service estimates and invoices.
• Managing customer enquiries and resolving concerns professionally.
• Promoting additional services and maintenance recommendations where appropriate.
• Ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction at every stage of the service process.
