24/7 Fleet and Field Maintenance – Jimboomba QLD is seeking an experienced Auto Electrician / Automotive Air Conditioning Technician for a workshop-based role. You will diagnose, service and install auto electrical systems across light vehicles, prime movers and trailing equipment while handling customer communication and job administration.

The role emphasizes hands-on diagnostics, AC servicing, parts sourcing and end-to-end job management in a busy workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Australian-recognised Auto Electrical trade qualification.
• Automotive air conditioning experience and relevant licensing/accreditation.
• Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills.
• Experience working on light vehicles and/or heavy vehicles.
• Experience with prime movers and trailing equipment will be highly regarded.
• Good computer and administrative skills.
• Confidence dealing directly with customers.
• Ability to prepare invoices, take payments and manage basic workshop paperwork.
• Ability to identify and order the correct parts for repairs.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Professional, reliable and safety‑focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for jobs from start to finish.
• Experience in a busy auto electrical, heavy vehicle or fleet maintenance workshop would be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out auto electrical diagnostics, repairs and installations.
• Servicing and repairing automotive air conditioning systems.

• Installing and repairing lighting, accessories, batteries, charging systems and other vehicle electrical equipment.
• Liaising directly with customers regarding faults, repairs and job progress.
• Providing customers with professional advice and recommendations.
• Creating invoices and processing customer payments.
• Identifying, sourcing and ordering parts required for jobs.
• Managing workshop jobs efficiently from booking through to completion.
• Maintaining accurate job cards, parts records and service documentation.
• Keeping the workshop and work areas organised and operating safely.

We’re looking for an experienced Auto Electrician / Automotive Air Conditioning Technician to join our team in a workshop‑based role.

Our customer base consists primarily of light vehicles, prime movers and trailing equipment, so we’re looking for someone who is confident working across a broad range of vehicles and electrical systems.

This is more than just a hands‑on trade role. You’ll also be dealing directly with customers, organising parts and helping manage jobs through from initial diagnosis to invoicing and payment.
