Job summary

Catalyst Metals Ltd in WA is seeking a skilled Auto Electrician to join our maintenance team supporting the Plutonic Gold Mine operations. You will perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on heavy mobile equipment, operate within a 60+ person team, and work a rotating 8-on/6-off and night shift roster.

The ideal candidate holds a recognised Auto Electrical Trade Certificate, ARC refrigerant handling licence, C Class WA licence, DGSC, and experience with underground equipment and

Qualifications

• Recognised Auto Electrical Trade Certificate.
• Current ARC refrigerant Handling Licence.
• Current 'C' Class WA Drivers Licence.
• Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC).
• Previous experience on underground equipment.
• Previous experience with RCT remote control systems.
• Quality workmanship with excellent trouble shooting and diagnostic skills.
• Strong commitment to Health & Safety.
• Highly motivated and able to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on heavy mobile fleet.
• Work as part of a 60+ person maintenance team at the Plutonic Mine.
• Contribute to quality output and safe operation of plant equipment.
• Assist with diagnostics and fault finding on Sandvik and related systems.

About the Business

Catalyst Metals owns and operates the Plutonic Gold Mine in the Eastern Gascoyne region of Western Australia. The Company produces 100koz of gold annually from Plutonic Gold Mine in WA. It also holds the Four Eagles Gold Project in Bendigo.

The Company plans to bring four new mining areas at Plutonic into production over the next 12 to 18 months, growing Group production to 200koz of gold with a current life of mine being 10 years.

The Role

Working a rotating roster of 8 days on 6 days off and then 7 nights on and 7 days off working dayshift, nightshift roster, be a part of the experienced maintenance team of over 60+ people.

Reporting to the Maintenance Foreman, our Auto Electricians are responsible for quality preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs to our heavy mobile fleet consisting of modern Sandvik development & production rigs, Sandvik load & haul fleet, Normet charge rigs, Volvo IT’s, various ancillary plant & RCT remote control systems.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Recognised Auto Electrical Trade Certificate.
• Current ARC refrigerant Handling Licence
• Current "C" Class WA Drivers Licence.
• Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC).
• Previous experience onunderground equipment.
• Previous experience with RCT remote control systems.
• Quality workmanship with excellent trouble shooting and diagnostic skills.
• Strong commitment to Health & Safety.
• Highly motivated and able to work autonomously.
• Ability to work in a team environment with a positive work ethic

The mobile plant maintenance workshop facility boasts an impressive 6 bay steel structured workshop with 2 x overhead cranes and service pit. We currently carry $4+ Million worth of parts & consumables in our dedicated maintenance store situated centrally to the workshop. There is also a separate Light Vehicle workshop & dedicated boilermaker facility in close proximity to the main workshop.

You will receive on-going OEM training for the successful candidate who is keen to develop their skills with the opportunity for career progression.
