Job summary

Thiess Iron Bridge is recruiting an Auto-Electrician to join our Field team on a 2/2 roster, working across our track equipment in a mining environment in Western Australia. You will maintain haul trucks and perform 12/24V electrical repairs, with fault diagnosis across heavy equipment.

Trade-certified auto electrical tradesperson with current Standard 11 and a valid driver's licence is required. Permanent full-time roles, full camp facilities, and development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Trade certified auto electrical tradesperson.
• Proven experience maintaining haul trucks and plant in a mining environment.
• Post-trade experience relevant to auto electrics in heavy equipment.
• CAT/Liebherr experience highly desirable; valid driver's licence and Standard 11.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a fleet of haul trucks and related plant safely and efficiently to meet site maintenance schedules.
• Service and repair heavy vehicle air-conditioning systems.
• Read electrical schematics, diagnose and repair 12/24V systems.
• Attend in-field breakdowns and fix faults safely and promptly.
• Create detailed parts lists for faults found during inspections for future repairs.
• Cat and Liebherr equipment experience is desirable.

About the role

Thiess Iron Bridge are looking for an Auto-Electrician to join our Field team on a 2/2 roster - Working across our track equipment of CAT 6060, Hitachi 1900, 2500, D10Ts and D65s.

In this role, you will:

• Maintain a fleet of Haul Trucks and associated plant equipment safely and efficiently in order to meet site maintenance schedules
• Servicing and repairs to heavy vehicle air-condition systems
• Reading electrical schematics, diagnosing, and carrying out repairs on 12/24v electrical systems
• Attending in-field breakdowns and repairing faults safely and efficiently
• Create detailed parts lists for faults found during inspections for future repairs
• CAT and Liebherr experience desirable.

About you
