Job summary

Mader Group is seeking a skilled Automotive Electrician for local DIDO roles across NSW, supporting premium mining equipment from OEMs like CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Sandvik and Liebherr.

You'll work a flexible 7/7 roster with accommodation, meals and a site vehicle provided. Bring Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology, a proficiency certificate, and AC ticket; 3+ years post-trade experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology and related certifications.
• Minimum 3+ years post-trade experience; mining experience advantageous.
• Current Australian working rights and willingness to obtain additional tickets if required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults on heavy mobile plant equipment.
• Carry out breakdown repairs, installations and preventive maintenance.
• Perform inspections and troubleshooting across OEM machines.
• Deliver high-quality workmanship with a strong safety focus.
• Collaborate with site teams to minimise downtime and maximise productivity.

The Role

As an Automotive Electrician, you'll play a key role in keeping heavy mining equipment operating safely and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:

• Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults on heavy mobile plant equipment
• Carrying out breakdown repairs, installations and preventative maintenance
• Performing inspections and troubleshooting across a variety of OEM machines
• Delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining a strong safety focus
• Working collaboratively with site teams to minimise downtime and maximise productivity

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology (essential)
• Certificate of Proficiency or willingness to obtain
• Air Conditioning (AC) Ticket highly regarded
• Strong diagnostic and electrical fault-finding skills
• Experience working on OEM mining or heavy mobile equipment
• Minimum 3+ years' post-trade experience (mining experience advantageous)
• A proactive, reliable and safety-focused approach to work
• Current Australian working rights
