Job summary

Glencore Mount Isa Mines in Mount Isa, Queensland invites a skilled electrical tradesperson to join our permanent team. You will install, maintain, and repair automotive electrical systems in mining equipment, and you will read and interpret electrical plans to meet Australian standards.

Relocation to Mount Isa is required, with a sign-on bonus of 10,000 AUD and 12 weeks of transit accommodation. You will work with a safety-conscious crew, receiving mentorship and career development

Qualifications

• Trade Qualification is required for applications.
• White Card (Construction Induction)
• Proven experience in commercial and/or industrial electrical work
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Valid driver’s licence

About the Candidate

• Ability to easily diagnose, repair, rewire and install electrical systems in light and heavy vehicles.
• Frequent awkward positions required to access under the front dash of vehicles for air-conditioning repairs and fitting systems into new mine vehicles.
• Overhead crane and trolleys available in workshop area.
• Trade Qualification is required for applications
