Job summary

Flinders Christian Community College Tyabb campus invites applications for a Classroom Aide role in the Joshua Centre, supporting autistic students within a differentiated learning program. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing Term 1, 2027, involving assisting teachers under direction and delivering small group instruction.

You will hold a Certificate III Education Support or equivalent, have autism experience, and strong interpersonal skills with a current Working with Children

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Certificate III Education Support or other relevant qualification.
• Understanding of the role of Learning Support staff in schools; prior experience desirable.
• Proven experience or understanding of autism with practical strategies to support autistic children.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students and colleagues.
• Right to work in Australia and a current Working with Children Check.

• Assist and support the classroom teacher under direction.
• Provide individualized or small group instruction and support a differentiated curriculum.
