Job summary

Zurich Australia is seeking a Claims Consultant to manage life risk disability claims with a focus on fair outcomes, timely decisions, and customer-centric service. You will collaborate with senior specialists to ensure decisions align with policy and client needs.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, regulatory awareness, and proactive communication with clients, advisers, and internal teams in a hybrid working setting.

Qualifications

• Understanding of life insurance claims processes including assessment and investigation
• Ability to interpret policy terms and make clear, well-reasoned decisions
• Strong communication skills with experience engaging a variety of stakeholders
• Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence
• Knowledge of insurance regulatory and legal frameworks
• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in a related field

• Australian Retirement Trust Group Claims Consultant – Permanent

As a Claims Consultant, you’ll play a key role in delivering fair, timely, and customer-focused outcomes across a portfolio of life risk disability claims. You’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive team, working closely with senior specialists to ensure every decision is thoughtful, accurate, and aligned to policy and customer needs.

This is an opportunity to build strong technical capability while making a meaningful difference in customers’ lives. You’ll contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help shape a claims experience that is efficient, empathetic, and digitally enabled.

You will also be responsible for the following:
