Job summary

Grant Thornton Australia is a leading accounting, advisory and consulting firm delivering independent audits and assurance services. You will use Grant Thornton’s methodologies and modern tools to execute statutory audits of a wide range of clients while maintaining independence and high-quality standards.

You will mentor junior team members, identify financial risks, and contribute to delivering actionable insights for clients in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in similar Audit & Assurance environment with sound knowledge of IFRS.
• CA/CPA full qualification or other relevant overseas qualification.
• Exceptional client relationship skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks within a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive independent statutory audits of public listed and unlisted companies, proprietary companies, incorporated associations and other not-for-profit entities and government bodies financial reports
• Create complete and accurate audit work papers
• Identify and report on client financial risks
• Expand your analytical skills to examine clients’ financial statements and ensure they comply with statutory requirements
• Investigate difficult technical and application issues to improve client outcomes
• Mentor and guide junior team members and contribute to their growth

About This Role

Our audit process is more than a compliance measure. Our robust, independent audits deliver actionable insights and add substantial value for our clients. We are fiercely independent. We work with ASX-listed companies, privately owned businesses and Not for Profits and take the time to understand the organisation, including its profit drivers and key risks.

You will use Grant Thornton’s proprietary global audit methodology, the latest technology to drive an efficient and effective audit process to gain a wide range of assurance exposure.
