Job summary

DPV Health Ltd is seeking an experienced Audiologist Grade 2 (0.4 EFT) for a short-term contract until 30/06/2027. Join the Audiology Team servicing adults, paediatric and infant diagnostics across Broadmeadows and Mill Park.

You will perform diagnostic assessments, review hearing, and refer to related services as needed, in a culturally diverse community. The role demands postgraduate Audiology qualifications, a current Accredited Audiologist status with Audiology Australia, and experience with

Qualifications

  • Postgraduate qualification in Audiology and membership of Audiology Australia as an Accredited Audiologist.
  • Experience in assessment and management of young children with complex needs; infant diagnostic assessments desirable.
  • Experience with clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality diagnostic audiology services (VRA, Play Audiometry, ABR, ASSR, OAEs).
  • Assess hearing and implement family-centered recommendations.
  • Provide information on relevant services and arrange referrals as needed.
  • Work with a diverse client base and a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
  • Operate in brand-new, spacious audiology booths at two sites.

Job Description

A little about the role

Audiologist Grade 2 – 0.4 EFT Short term contract until 30/6/27.

An exciting opportunity exists to join the DPV Health Audiology Team which provides adult, paediatric and infant diagnostic audiology services at two sites across the Northern suburbs (Broadmeadows and Mill Park). The Audiology Team is part of the broader multidisciplinary Child Health Team which works collaboratively to ensure holistic care for the child/ individual.

  • You will be responsible for providing a high-quality diagnostic audiology service that meets the needs of the child/ individual in a manner that respects their rights and confidentiality. This will include providing diagnostic assessments such as Visual Reinforcement Audiometry, Play Audiometry, ABR, ASSR and OAEs.
  • You will assess and review the client’s hearing in order to implement recommendations that address the client / family’s needs and priorities.
  • You will provide the family with appropriate information about other services that are relevant for the family /child and arrange any referrals as requested by the family
  • . You will be working with clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and children with complex needs.
  • You will be joining a supportive, high performing professional team and will be working in brand new, spacious Audiology booths at both sites
Desired Skills and Experience

About you

  • You will have a post graduate qualification in Audiology, Masters or equivalent and be a member of Audiology Australia as an Accredited Audiologist.
  • You will be an experienced clinician with demonstrated knowledge and skills in the assessment and management of young children with complex needs. Experience in infant diagnostic assessments is also highly desirable.
  • You will have experience working with clients / families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Document No.:

  • You will have an understanding of working within a Community Health setting and a Family Centred framework.
