Job summary

Hearing Australia is seeking an Audiologist to support and empower clients across metro Sydney and regional Southern NSW. The role involves assessing non-complex adult clients, providing rehabilitative support, fitting hearing devices, and collaborating with NDIA and other agencies.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Audiology required.
• Full and current membership with Audiology Society of Australia required.
• Sound knowledge of clinical Audiology and procedures.
• Exposure to NDIA scheme.
• Willingness to travel to other locations for clinical work.
• Ability to support changes to clinical practice, products and policies.

• Permanent, full-time position (Mon-Fri, 8:30am-5:30pm)
• Working mainly across metro Sydney centres, with some support to centres in regional Southern NSW
• Company vehicle available for travel, with travel time & travel allowance on offer
• Working predominantly at Liverpool, Bankstown, Blacktown, Penrith, Narellan, Campbelltown, Bowral, Maroubra Junction, Miranda (this is an onsite position)

• Assess the auditory problems of non-complex adult clients in accordance with established Australian Hearing practice methods and standards
• Provide appropriate rehabilitative support including fitting hearing aids, assistive listening devices, personal amplification devices, accessories and/or communication strategies as appropriate
• Refer clients to other professionals or seek guidance from more senior audiologists where needed
• Participate in providing services at visiting sites and home visits
• Liaise with National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) representatives, other allied health & support agencies and families/carers to ensure best practice and outcomes for each client
• Undertake marketing/public relations activities in the community as required
• Provide excellent customer service, manage client load and meet revenue targets

• Tertiary qualification in Audiology
• Full and current membership with Audiology Society of Australia
• Sound knowledge of clinical Audiology and procedures in accordance with Australian Audiology standards
• Sound knowledge of Hearing Services Program
• Exposure to National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) scheme
• Willingness and flexibility to travel to other locations to undertake clinical work
• Ability to support business changes to clinical practice, products and policies
