Job summary

Airservices Australia is recruiting an Air Traffic Control Training Lead in Sydney to lead a ~40‑strong training team across the Sydney Basin. You will influence workforce readiness and future capability planning with key sites including Sydney Tower, Sydney TCU, Bankstown/Camden and Western Sydney International Airport.

The role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on operational impact, driving continuous improvement, safety, collaboration and excellence in training for aviation

Qualifications

• Experience delivering operational training programs and identifying future capability requirements.
• Proven success leading large multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Experience in regulated safety-critical environments.
• Aviation training qualifications or ATC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of ~40 training professionals developing Air Traffic Control capability across the Sydney Basin.
• Influence workforce readiness and future capability planning across Sydney Tower, Sydney TCU, Bankstown/Camden and Western Sydney International Airport.
• Drive training excellence and continuous improvement in safety-critical operational environments.
• Ensure delivery of safe, effective and contemporary training solutions.
• Partner with operational leaders to align training delivery with organisational objectives.
