Straight Bat Private Equity Pty Ltd – Melbourne VIC

Straight Bat Private Equity is a small, values-led firm that partners with mid-sized private businesses for the long term, patient capital, hands-on support, real skin in the game with the owners we back.

We're adding an Associate to our team, working across both new investments and our existing portfolio companies, deal origination, due diligence and financial modelling on one side; hands-on work with portfolio company management, from CEO to the frontline, on the other.

Direct exposure to partners. Real ownership of your own work from day one. No layers between you and the decisions that matter.

We're after 2-4 years in transaction services (due diligence, corporate finance or M&A advisory) from a mid-market or Big 4 firm, private equity, or a related finance role, sharp financial modelling, sound judgement, and the maturity to run with your own workstreams. Just as important: humility, and a genuine ability to build rapport at every level of a business.
