Job summary

ASJ Tech is looking for an Associate Software Engineer to join a large federal government agency. You'll write, test and maintain quality code for large-scale platforms that support millions of Australians, working with SAP, UI5, Angular and Node.js.

About the role

• Level: APS4–APS5 equivalent
• Location: Canberra, Melbourne or Brisbane. You'll work onsite for the first 6 weeks, then a hybrid arrangement may be considered.
• Start date: 1 January 2027
• Contract: Up to 12 months, with extensions up to a maximum of 24 months
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain Baseline

What you'll bring

• Programming and software development experience: designing, coding, testing, documenting and refactoring programs to agreed standards (SFIA Level 2)
• Application support experience, assisting with maintenance and issue resolution (desirable)
• Experience within government or a similar large-scale organisation
• The ability to obtain Baseline clearance
