Job summary

Tyler Wren in Sydney is seeking an Associate/Senior Associate to join its Commercial & Corporate team. You will work on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, with exposure to M&A transactions and due diligence, under expert mentorship.

The role requires at least 3 years’ post-admission experience, strong drafting and negotiation skills, and a proactive, client-focused approach. Flexible and supportive environment with development opportunities.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ post-admission experience in corporate/commercial law.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills are essential.
• Genuine interest in corporate and commercial law with practical advice.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements (supply, distribution, service, JV).
• Advise on corporate governance, business structures and shareholder matters.
• Support clients on M&A transactions, due diligence and transaction docs.
• Assist with incorporations, restructures, and sales/acquisitions.
• Build strong client relationships with practical, solution-focused advice.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate with at least 3 years’ post-admission experience to join a high-performing Commercial & Corporate team based in Sydney.
This well-established firm, with more than 200 staff, has built a strong reputation for delivering practical, commercially focused advice to a diverse client base, ranging from SMEs through to large national businesses across multiple industries.
Working alongside highly regarded partners and senior lawyers, you will gain exposure to a broad range of commercial and corporate matters while benefiting from exceptional mentorship and structured career development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
You will be involved in:

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of commercial agreements, including supply, distribution, service and joint venture agreements
• Advising on corporate governance, business structures and shareholder arrangements
• Supporting clients on M&A transactions, including due diligence and transaction documentation
• Assisting with company incorporations, restructures, and business sales and acquisitions
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships through practical, solution-focused advice

About You

We are interested in hearing from lawyers with a range of commercial backgrounds. However, strong contract drafting and negotiation skills are essential.

You will also demonstrate:
