Job summary

Qualifications

• Approximately 3–8 years of post-admission experience at Associate or Senior Associate level.

This is an opportunity for an Associate or Senior Associate to join a developing specialist practice, advising a diverse client base across financial institutions, non-bank lenders, funds, corporate borrowers and investors. The work will span securitisation, structured finance and other complex financing arrangements, providing exposure to transactions at the forefront of Australia's financial markets.

Working closely with the practice's leadership, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of complex matters, develop strong client relationships and contribute to the continued growth of the team. Key Responsibilities:

• Advising lenders, borrowers, financial institutions, funds and investors on sophisticated financing transactions.
• Working across securitisation, structured finance, debt capital markets and complex funding arrangements.
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating transaction documents and financing agreements.
• Managing transaction workstreams, coordinating stakeholders and progressing matters from inception through to completion.
• Providing commercially focused advice on complex financing structures and related legal issues.
• Building and maintaining client relationships while working closely with senior practitioners and other stakeholders.
• Supporting junior lawyers and contributing to the continued development of a growing Banking & Finance practice.

We're interested in speaking with lawyers who have:

• Approximately 3 - 8 years' post-admission experience, with appointments at Associate or Senior Associate level depending on experience.
• Experience in Banking & Finance, Capital Markets, Structured Finance or a closely related practice area.
• Exposure to complex financing transactions, securitisation, debt capital markets, derivatives or similar work.
• Strong drafting, analytical and technical legal skills.
• The ability to manage complex transactions, competing priorities and multiple stakeholders.
• A commercial mindset and an interest in developing specialist expertise within the financing space.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to develop trusted client relationships.
• A proactive approach, with an interest in mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to the growth of a practice.
