Job summary

Showtime Consulting is seeking an experienced Email Security Engineer to support the delivery and operational uplift of enterprise email security capabilities. The role focuses on implementing Mimecast, optimizing Microsoft 365 mail flow, and safely decommissioning legacy email security platforms across large enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as an Email Security Engineer in large enterprise environments.
• Hands-on Mimecast administration and email security engineering.
• Experience with outbound email security, journaling, and mail flow troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of SPF/DKIM/DMARC and related authentication technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and validate Mimecast outbound email security solutions.
• Review and optimise mail routing, security controls, policies, and authentication mechanisms.
• Identify and remediate gaps across malware protection, data loss prevention, impersonation protection, and URL security controls.
• Troubleshoot mail flow issues across Mimecast, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and third-party platforms.
• Lead activities associated with the decommissioning of legacy email security technologies, including Trend Micro.
• Coordinate testing, cutover planning, rollback readiness, and post-change validation activities.
• Develop technical documentation, operational runbooks, support procedures, and knowledge transfer materials.
• Monitor solution performance and recommend ongoing improvements and tuning opportunities.
• Work closely with technical stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and operational readiness.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, transport rules, connectors, and message tracing.
• Experience managing email security policies, compliance requirements, and security exceptions.
• Strong understanding of SPF, DKIM, DMARC, SMTP, DNS, and email authentication technologies.
• Experience troubleshooting complex email delivery and routing issues.
• Excellent documentation, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.

Desirable Skills

• Experience migrating or decommissioning legacy email security platforms.
• Previous exposure to Trend Micro Email Security solutions.
• Knowledge of security governance, risk, and compliance requirements.
