Corrs Chambers Westgarth, Australia's leading independent law firm, is expanding its Melbourne Projects practice and seeks an Associate to join the Projects (Front End) team.

You will advise owners, government agencies, contractors and private sector clients on front end construction and infrastructure contracts, procurement, project delivery models, and risk allocation for major projects across Australia. This role offers mentorship and exposure to significant matters.

We are growing our Melbourne Projects practice and are seeking an Associate to join our Projects (Front End) team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on some of Australia's most significant infrastructure, energy, resources and construction projects. You will advise leading project owners, government agencies, contractors and private sector clients on front end construction and infrastructure contracts, procurement, project delivery models, contract negotiation and drafting, risk allocation, and related advisory matters for major projects across Australia.

The opportunity

Corrs’ Projects (Front End) team is one of Australia's leading non-contentious projects and construction practices, advising on the structuring, procurement, negotiation and documentation of major infrastructure, energy, resources and construction projects. The team handles front end construction and infrastructure contracts, procurement frameworks, project delivery models, contract negotiation and drafting, risk allocation, and related advisory matters across the full project lifecycle.

As an Associate, you will work closely with partner, Joseph Barbaro, as well as the broader national Projects team.

This role offers exposure to some of the most significant front end projects and construction matters in the Australian market, direct client engagement, exceptional mentoring and the opportunity to build expertise in complex projects and construction contracts.

What we're looking for:

We are seeking talented lawyers who combine strong technical capability with commercial judgement, intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in front end projects, construction contracts and advisory work.

Ideally, you will have:

• Approximately 2-5 years' post-qualification experience
• Experience gained at a leading Australian, international or specialist projects, construction or infrastructure practice
• Experience advising on front end construction, infrastructure, engineering, energy or major project contracts and advisory matters
