Underpinned by an ambitious growth strategy, Willowtree Planning is looking to appoint an Associate Director in our North Sydney office.

  • You have a qualification in town planning or related discipline, with approx. 10-15 years' experience;
  • REAP qualified or nearing 10 years' experience working on major projects;
  • You thrive on project managing complex planning projects and co-ordinate various sub-consultants;
  • You have experience in providing planning due diligence advice and planning approvals pathway advice and strategies;
  • You have a strong understanding of current NSW Planning legislation and recent changes to legislation;
  • You have Experience in the preparation of Statements of Environmental Effects, Environmental Impact Statements and Planning Proposal documents;
  • Attention to detail and proven ability to write high quality and concise advice, reports and submissions.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage and prepare large-scale development applications and planning proposals, namely design competitions and state significant development projects;
  • Maintain research of industry and regulatory technical developments;
  • Provide efficient and effective consulting services;
  • Independent attendance at meetings as required including inception meetings, client meetings, council and panel meetings;
  • Securing new business opportunities;
  • Work closely with the executive and senior management team in the implementation of the Business's systems, processes, procedures, Quality Assurance practices and project methodologies;
  • Ensure budget targets are achieve and maintained, including your direct reports;
  • Mentor and manage technical staff.
