Job summary

Sydney Wilderness Life Church in Eastwood, NSW is seeking an Associate Pastor to join our pastoral ministry team. You will work with the Senior Pastor to provide spiritual leadership, biblical teaching, pastoral care and discipleship, while supporting worship, evangelism and broader ministry activities.

The position is permanent full-time (38 hours/week) with a salary range of AUD 75,000–90,000 plus superannuation and included benefits.

Qualifications

• Relevant theological, ministry or religious qualification, or equivalent recognised training.
• Experience in pastoral ministry, preaching, biblical teaching and pastoral care.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with church leadership and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver sermons, Bible studies and biblical teaching during worship services and prayer meetings.
• Plan, lead and conduct worship services and other religious services.
• Provide pastoral care and counselling to church members and families.
• Conduct pastoral visitation and support to elderly or unwell members.
• Plan and lead discipleship programs and prayer meetings.
• Mentor ministry leaders and volunteers; support evangelism and outreach.
• Welcome newcomers and assist with integration into church ministries.
• Assist in retreats, seminars and special ministry events.
