Shine Lawyers is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate in the Melbourne CBD Personal Injury practice. You will work on a range of personal injury matters, providing legal advice and representation to obtain compensation while maintaining strong client relationships and managing expectations.

Flexibility includes three days per week and variable start/finish times, with an emphasis on supportive, empowering culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Laws is required and a current practising certificate is essential.
• Post-admission experience in Personal Injury is required.
• Demonstrated passion and drive to build a career as a personal injury solicitor.
• Strong understanding of relevant legislation and legal documentation.
• Ability to work on legally challenging and factually complex matters.
• Maturity and confidence to deal with clients who may be experiencing trauma.

The Opportunity

As an Associate or Senior Associate in our growing Personal Injury practice in our Melbourne CBD team, you'll be on the front line as we doggedly seek justice. This role will see you work across a variety of personal injury matters. We are looking for applicants who are passionate about personal injury law and committed to assisting vulnerable people in achieving justice. You will bring empathy, commercial judgement and technical expertise to every matter while delivering outstanding outcomes for your clients. We welcome applications from candidates seeking a minimum of three days per week, as well as those looking for flexible start and finish times. We'll take the time to understand your ideal working arrangements throughout the recruitment process.

• Providing clients with legal advice and representation to obtain compensation
• Work across a variety of client matters that require a high level of sensitivity
• Provide legal advice to each client's particular matter to suit their level of understanding
• Develop and maintain strong professional working relationships with clients, including effective and regular communication and managing the client's expectations
• Draft legal documentation with a high degree of attention to detail
• Manage and run afile load with a high level of commercial and fiscal awareness
