Job summary

Austin Health is seeking an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) for the Transition Support Unit (TSU) at Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital. You will help lead the seven-bed unit, support recovery-oriented care, and partner with medical leads to maintain high-quality practice.

You will oversee daily operations, liaise with NDIS and external agencies, and mentor staff while promoting a positive team culture in a specialist dual disability service.

About the Transition Support Unit (TSU)

The Transition Support Unit (TSU) is a purpose-built 7 bed facility for persons with a Mental Illness and Cognitive or Intellectual Disability requiring medium/long-term (6 months - 2 years) supported residential rehabilitation. It provides "step-up" clinical support for consumers from the community, and in some cases a "step-down" option for consumers from Inpatient services.

About the role

The RPN3 Associate Nurse Unit Manager is a recognised clinical leader within the TSU Leadership Team, who works closely with the NUM and medical leads, to ensure the provision of high quality, recovery orientated care, and foster a positive team culture.

A regular day will see you:

• Provide oversight and leadership of daily operations in the unit
• Liaise with NDIS and other external agencies
• Share clinical expertise through role modelling, and provision of guidance and supervision

As the Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM), You will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You'll bring energy and drive to your work and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.
