Job summary

Grampians Health Ballarat is seeking an Associate Nurse Unit Manager to lead clinical care in aged care settings. This permanent role offers both part-time and full-time hours, with an hourly base rate of $60.94–$62.99 and opportunities to take on additional hours as they arise across multiple communities in Ballarat and surrounding regions.

The role involves mentoring staff, coordinating shifts, and driving quality improvements in line with Aged Care Standards.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated clinical leadership in aged care or similar.
• Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate clinical care across each shift.
• Support and deputise for the Nurse Unit Manager.
• Mentor, coach and support nursing staff.
• Coordinate staffing and clinical resources.
• Drive quality improvement and Aged Care Standards compliance.
• Partner with residents, families and the multidisciplinary team.

This position is paid in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2024 - 2028. The classification is Associate Nurse Unit Manager (YW11 – YW12) which ranges from $60.94 - $62.99 per hour.
