Job summary

Bayside Health is seeking an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) for its Capel Sound (Rosebud) residential facility, delivering high-level nursing care to residents with complex needs. You will lead RNs and ENs, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance and high-quality, person-centred care.

The role requires a Bachelor in Nursing with current AHPRA registration and demonstrated leadership in Older Adults, with strong communication and organisational skills.

• Bachelor in Nursing with current AHPRA registration.
• Leadership experience in working with Older Adults in Aged Care /Mental Health settings.
• Demonstrated understanding of the Aged Care Act and strengthened Aged Care Standards.
• Exceptional communication and organisational skills.
• Knowledgeable in working with clients with changed behaviours.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support RNs and ENs within the facility to deliver safe, evidence-based person-centred care.
• Collaborate with the Nurse Unit Manager to manage day-to-day operations and coverage.
• Ensure compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements in aged care and mental health.

The Team & Role

Carinya is a 26-bed purpose built Aged Persons Mental Health residential Care Facility designed to provide high level specialist nursing care to residents with complex mental health diagnoses or changed behaviours associated with dementia, who are unable to be managed effectively in a generic aged care facility.

The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) is a valued and integral member of the Peninsula Health multidisciplinary team demonstrating flexibility in caring for residents and their families. The ANUM leads competently ensuring RNs and EENs are within their scope of practice to deliver safe, evidence-based person-centred care to achieve optimal health outcomes for older people.They work in collaboration with Nurse Unit Manager to manage day to day running of the Home and cover the NUM when not around

Skills & Experience Required
