Job summary

National Australia Bank in Sydney seeks an Associate to join Corporate Finance for a 9–10-month fixed term contract. You will work with the Client Management & Execution team to advance key business priorities and enhance how we serve our customers.

You will monitor client portfolio risk, support transaction execution with credit submissions and due diligence, and build strong relationships with stakeholders. A strong banking background and clear, succinct writing are essential.

Qualifications

• Banking experience with credit and compliance processes.
• Proven ability to write credit submissions, annual reviews, and client information papers clearly.
• Strong numerical, financial analysis and modelling skills.
• Understanding of debt and financial markets products.
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor client portfolio risk and maintain high standards of portfolio hygiene.
• Support transaction execution through credit submissions, financial modelling, due diligence and legal reviews, with recommendations to senior stakeholders.

• Undergraduate qualification in law, finance, business, accounting or engineering
• Prior experience in banking, including with credit and compliance processes
• Proven experience writing credit submissions, annual reviews and client core information papers clearly and succinctly
• Sound numerical, financial analysis and modelling skills
• Understanding of debt and financial markets products
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance environment
