Our Workplace Technology team has built a best-in-class Tech Bar experience for our National Office. We’re looking for an Associate Engineer who loves helping people, enjoys solving everyday technology problems, and thrives in a face-to-face support environment.

This is an in-office role where you’ll be the first touchpoint for workplace technology support, greeting team members at the Tech Bar, understanding their needs, and helping them get back up and running quickly. You’ll support a diverse device environment that includes both Windows and Mac, while gaining exposure to modern enterprise tools.

It’s a great opportunity for someone with a background in technical support who wants to step into Workplace Technology, broaden their device management experience, and build the foundations for a future engineering career.

  • Supporting hardware and software issues across Windows and Mac devices, including laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, connectivity, and account access.
  • Working through workplace technology tickets and ensuring every interaction is fast, helpful, and customer-focused.
  • Supporting team members with everyday technology challenges and creating an experience that feels welcoming, professional, and easy.
  • Collaborating with Engineers and Senior Engineers to understand the workplace technology stack, shadow more complex work, and grow your technical capability.
  • Assisting with device deployments, configuration activities, and general workplace technology operations.
  • Helping shape the Tech Bar experience and contributing to a culture of exceptional customer service.
To be successful in this role you’ll have:
  • Previous experience in IT support, service desk, desktop support, or workplace technology, with a strong interest in developing your technical skills.
  • Some experience supporting Mac devices in a workplace or enterprise environment.
  • A people-first mindset, with a genuine interest in helping others and creating a positive support experience.
  • Confidence communicating face-to-face, asking thoughtful questions, and guiding people through solutions.
  • A grounding in workplace technology, including hardware troubleshooting, Microsoft 365, device setup, and common workplace tools.
  • Curiosity and a willingness to learn across both Windows and Apple technology environments.
  • The ability to manage multiple requests, stay calm under pressure, and prioritise effectively in a busy environment.
  • A proactive, customer-focused approach and a desire to contribute to a supportive team culture.
  • Exposure to Jamf or a similar Mac OS device management platform is highly regarded.
Perks and benefits we’ll offer you:
  • Flexible hybrid working options through our Flex Where, Flex When, Flex Well policy, spending 60% of your week in our National Office
  • We’ll provide multiple ways for you to learn from online micro-credentialing in Udemy, support to gain certifications to tech community events and more.
  • Great career opportunities across the broader Wesfarmers Group.
  • We offer inclusive leave and ongoing support for team members of all backgrounds and family circumstances.
  • Free onsite parking when you’re required to come into the office.
  • We want you to feel rewarded for your commitment and hard work that's why everyone gets the opportunity to participate in a bonus program.
  • A team member discount card that gives you a discount at Kmart, Target, Bunnings, and Officeworks.
  • A free OnePass membership offering free delivery across Kmart &Target on eligible products.
  • Access to the Brighter Benefits program which entitles you to exclusive discounts and benefits in the areas of entertainment, travel, lifestyle, and health – with over 60 suppliers!
