Overview

ING, Australia’s most recommended bank, is seeking an Associate / Senior Associate for our Sector & Specialised Lending team to join our Wholesale Bank based in Sydney.

You will be responsible for executing lending transactions across five key sectors – Energy, Infrastructure, Telecommunications & Healthcare, Real Estate and Food, Beverage & Agriculture. You will be a lending specialist working closely with sector coverage specialists and relationship managers. We are looking for a bright, numerate and articulate banker with solid financial modelling and credit writing skills, particularly if that experience comes from Energy, Infrastructure, Project Finance or a related field. ING Australia’s Wholesale Banking team is in growth mode and this role will give you a broad understanding of each of our key sectors and an opportunity to build close relationships with sector specialists across the bank. What you’ll do

  • Financial and credit analysis on existing and prospect clients
  • Preparing business comparable and analysis of debt structures, performance metrics and debt pricing
  • Building and preparing financial models with sensitivity analysis and validation of key debt terms and assumptions
  • Preparing and efficiently processing credit approval packages
  • Attending client team meetings and calls, including transaction-related due diligence workstreams
  • Interfacing with loan operations, treasury and the lending center of excellence units
What we’re looking for
  • 2-4 years’ + relevant transaction and credit analysis experience in the banking or related industry
  • University degree in commerce, finance, economics, law or relevant business discipline
  • Experience in Project Finance or similar
  • Confident financial modelling and analytical skills
  • Proven client focus and confident in stakeholder management (both internally and externally)
  • The ability to deliver with efficiency and effectiveness under time pressure
