WSP Australia’s Water Business Group is growing. We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our VIC Water Utilities team. What You’ll Do
  • Work as part of a national multi-disciplinary team to deliver project goals.
  • Produce high-quality technical documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Undertake field and desktop investigations on existing electrical infrastructure for capital upgrades.
  • Prepare detailed documentation and specifications for electrical components to support procurement and delivery.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders including clients and vendors.
  • Apply technical and commercial acumen to achieve successful outcomes for projects and clients.
  • Demonstrate specialist safety knowledge in areas such as protection, arc flash, earthing, hazardous areas, and machine safety principles.
What You’ll Bring
  • Proven experience in design and delivery of projects in Water (ideal), mining, industrial or Energy sectors
  • 12+ years’ experience in an engineering consultancy or design role for a contractor or asset owner (water industry preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Chartered Engineer; RPEV certification
  • Design experience in LV and ELV systems, PLC/telemetry, PTW design, and Instrumentation and Control
  • Strong understanding of standards, conceptual and detailed design, and design management of electrical infrastructure
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal – with the ability to consult effectively with clients and collaborate internally.
