Capstone Recruitment partners with an established, well-capitalised private lending platform to identify an experienced property finance professional. The role focuses on construction lending opportunities, origination, credit assessment and execution with autonomy and a clear path to senior leadership as the business expands.

You will work closely with the founder, leveraging an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong commercial acumen to drive growth across the lending portfolio.

We are partnering with an establishedreal estate private credit and non-bank lending business to identify an experienced property finance professional to join its growing platform.

Backed by prominent Australian family offices, the business has a strong track record in property lending and funds management, specialising in tailored debt funding solutions for experienced property developers, predominantly across construction finance and property-backed transactions.

Operating with a lean, highly experienced team and substantial capital available for deployment, the business offers the agility of a boutique lender combined with the financial backing of an established investment platform.

This is an opportunity to work directly alongside the founder, with genuine autonomy, influence over the growth of the lending portfolio and a clear opportunity to progress into a senior leadership position as the business continues to expand.

The Role

The position will combine transaction origination, credit assessment, structuring and execution, with a particular emphasis on identifying and securing quality construction lending opportunities.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Originate new lending opportunities through established relationships with property developers, finance brokers and industry participants.
• Assess and structure property-backed lending transactions, typically ranging from $5m–$50m.
• Undertake transaction due diligence, financial analysis, feasibility assessments and credit risk evaluation.
• Prepare investment recommendations and present transactions for credit approval.
• Manage transactions through negotiation, documentation and settlement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with borrowers, introducers and other key stakeholders.
• Work directly with the founder on strategic opportunities and the continued growth of the lending platform.

About You

We are seeking an experienced property finance professional with a strong commercial mindset, sound credit fundamentals and the ability to generate and execute lending opportunities.

Ideally, you will bring:

• Experience across real estate private credit, non-bank lending, property development finance or commercial property banking.
• An established network of property developers, finance brokers and other relevant industry relationships.
• Demonstrated experience originating, assessing and structuring property-backed debt transactions.
• Strong understanding of construction finance, development feasibilities, security structures and credit risk.
• The ability to independently assess transactions and manage deals through to settlement.
• An entrepreneurial mindset, strong commercial acumen and the ambition to progress into a broader leadership capacity.
