Job summary

Macquarie Group, within Wealth Division, seeks an experienced governance professional to support the independent trustee Board and management in regulatory compliance and governance. You will advise senior leaders, lead Board engagement, and influence strategic decisions to protect the interests of superannuation members.

You will work with senior stakeholders across the business to promote governance excellence and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and sound operational practices.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years' experience in governance, superannuation, legal, risk, compliance, or related area.
  • Demonstrated leadership with ability to influence senior stakeholders and strategic outcomes.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement with Boards and senior management.
  • Sound knowledge of the superannuation regulatory environment and governance frameworks.

  • Support the independent trustee Board and management in meeting legal and regulatory obligations, promoting the best financial interests of superannuation members.
  • Act as a trusted adviser to senior leaders, lead Board engagement activities, and provide governance guidance that informs strategic decisions across the business.

What role will you play?

In this role you will support the independent trustee Board and management team in meeting their legal and regulatory obligations while promoting the best financial interests of superannuation members. You will act as a trusted adviser to senior leaders, lead Board engagement activities, and provide governance and regulatory guidance that influences strategic decision-making across the business. You will have the opportunity to ensure the voice of the Board and superannuation members is reflected in key business decisions.

What You Offer
  • 10+ years' of experience in governance, superannuation, legal, risk, compliance, or a related area.
  • University qualifications in Law, Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a similar discipline.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and strategic business outcomes.
  • Strong communication, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills, including experience working with Boards and senior management.
  • Sound knowledge of the superannuation regulatory environment and governance frameworks.
