Proclinical is partnering with a Brisbane bioanalytical CRO to recruit a senior scientific leader who will guide a team of scientists, shape immunoassay strategy, and stay closely involved with hands-on work.

The role emphasizes people development, client collaboration, and delivering robust assay work in a regulated CRO setting. Brisbane-based, the position offers hands-on leadership and visibility across projects.

Qualifications

• PhD with 7+ years in a regulated bioanalytical CRO.
• Hands-on immunoassay development and validation (PK, ADA, neutralising assays).
• Experience leading scientists and communicating technical decisions to clients.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction for immunoassay development across programmes.
• Lead and mentor scientists, review data and reports, and troubleshoot complex assays.
• Ensure scientific quality and project delivery, including investigations, audits and inspections.
• Contribute scientific input on proposals and client discussions.

Proclinical is working with a bioanalytical CRO in Brisbane on a senior scientific leadership hire. You'll lead a team of scientists, guide complex assay work and work directly with sponsors on what the lab can deliver. It's a role for someone who enjoys developing people and wants to stay close to the science.

Responsibilities:

• Set the technical direction for immunoassay development across immunogenicity and biomarker programmes.
• Lead and mentor scientists, review data and reports, and help troubleshoot complex assays.
• Take responsibility for scientific quality and project delivery, including supporting investigations, audits and inspections.
• Help decide which methods and platforms the lab develops next, and provide scientific input on proposals and client discussions.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• A PhD and 7+ years of relevant experience in a regulated bioanalytical CRO.
• Strong hands‑on experience developing and validating immunoassays, including PK, anti-drug antibody (ADA) and neutralising antibody assays.
• Experience managing and developing scientists, making technical decisions and communicating them clearly to clients.
