JS Careers is recruiting an Associate Director – Credit Risk, Corporate Finance based in Sydney to assess, structure and manage credit risk across a portfolio of complex corporate finance transactions, including infrastructure, energy and other major projects.

You will lead detailed credit assessments, analyse cash flows, debt service capacity and security packages, and provide independent risk input from origination through to financial close, while ensuring governance and policy adherence and

Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience in credit risk, project finance, infrastructure finance, or related field.
  • Experience assessing or executing complex financing transactions involving infrastructure, energy, renewables, resources, transport or other capital-intensive projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for senior stakeholders and credit committees.

Responsibilities

  • Lead detailed credit assessments of new and existing corporate finance transactions, including financial, commercial, operational and counterparty risk analysis.
  • Analyse project structures, cash flows, debt service capacity, financial models, security packages, contractual arrangements and downside scenarios.
  • Provide independent credit risk input into the structuring and negotiation of corporate finance transactions from origination through to financial close.
  • Manage and monitor credit risk across an allocated portfolio.
  • Prepare high-quality credit papers and recommendations for senior credit committees and delegated approval authorities.
  • Ensure adherence to credit policies, risk appetite, regulatory requirements and internal governance frameworks.
  • Build strong relationships with origination, relationship management, legal, treasury, portfolio management and broader risk teams.

Associate Director – Credit Risk, Corporate Finance

JS Careers have been engaged to source an Associate Director – Credit Risk, Corporate Finance. This role will be responsible for assessing, structuring and managing credit risk across a portfolio of complex corporate finance transactions. The role will have exposure to a broad range of infrastructure and project finance transactions, including energy, renewables, utilities, transport, telecommunications, resources and other major infrastructure assets.


Key Responsibilities:

Lead detailed credit assessments of new and existing corporate finance transactions, including financial, commercial, operational and counterparty risk analysis.

Analyse project structures, cash flows, debt service capacity, financial models, security packages, contractual arrangements and downside scenarios.

Provide independent credit risk input into the structuring and negotiation of corporate finance transactions from origination through to financial close.

Manage and monitor credit risk across an allocated portfolio.

Prepare high-quality credit papers and recommendations for senior credit committees and delegated approval authorities.

Ensure adherence to credit policies, risk appetite, regulatory requirements and internal governance frameworks.

Build strong relationships with origination, relationship management, legal, treasury, portfolio management and broader risk teams.

Suitable candidates will possess :

Degree in finance, economics, accounting, engineering, business or a related discipline.

Typically 7+ years' experience in credit risk, project finance, infrastructure finance, investment banking or a related field.

Experience assessing or executing complex financing transactions involving infrastructure, energy, renewables, resources, transport, utilities or other capital-intensive projects.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex credit issues clearly to senior stakeholders and credit committees.
