Job summary

Onterris Australia Pty Ltd seeks an Associate Environmental Scientist to join the Contaminated Land and Water team in Brisbane. This role will manage projects, conduct site inspections, and build strong client relationships while delivering high-quality technical reports.

The candidate should hold a tertiary qualification in Environmental Science/Engineering/Management and have 9+ years in contaminated land and water, with solid knowledge of QLD and national frameworks; CEnvP or CPSS

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science/Environmental Engineering/Environmental Management or related field.
• 9+ years experience within contaminated land and water in an environmental consultancy.
• Solid understanding of QLD and national environmental frameworks; certification (CEnvP or CPSS) or interest to pursue.

Responsibilities

• Successfully project managing projects that are delivered on time and on budget
• Overseeing and conducting detailed site inspections
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients
• Completing technical reviews of complex reports
• Providing advice regarding environmental legislation and guidelines
• Mentoring and developing juniors

• Tertiary qualification from a recognised institute in Environmental Science/ Environmental Engineering/ Environmental Management or related field
• 9+ years experience within contaminated land and water in an environmental consultancy
• Solid understanding of QLD and national environmental frameworks
• Industry certification (CEnvP or CPSS) or keen interest to pursue this
