Job summary

ASPECT Studios is seeking a degree-qualified Landscape Architect, Urban Designer or Architect with 8+ years of experience to join our Sydney Studio as a senior Associate, leading a selection of unique projects.

You will mentor junior designers, contribute to project strategy, and help grow client relationships while delivering high-quality design across master planning to documentation.

Qualifications

• The Associate will have experience in managing projects of a range of scales, from concept design and master planning to contract documentation and administration.
• Assisting with submissions and proposals, and contributing to project design strategy.
• Supervising junior staff and direct reports, mentoring and delegating as skills grow.
• Enforcing design quality, reviewing work by team members.
• Preparing high quality documentation and presenting to external client groups.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a portfolio of distinct projects across studio.
• Contribute to development of submissions and design strategy for proposals.
• Mentor and supervise junior designers and direct reports.
• Ensure design quality across project outputs and presentations.
• Prepare documentation and confidently present to clients and stakeholders.
• Support with sourcing new clients and prominent projects for the studio.

About You

We are seeking a degree qualified, experienced Landscape Architect, Urban Designer or Architect with 8+ years’ experience to join our senior team in the Sydney Studio, to lead and contribute to a selection of unique projects.

Providing supportive mentorship and guidance to junior designers and direct reports, you will hit the ground running and contribute meaningfully to projects that matter – to the community, to the environment, and to the planet.

The successful Associate will have experience in:

• Managing projects of a range of scales, from concept design and master planning to contract documentation and administration,
• Assisting with development of submissions and proposals, and contributing to preparation of project related design strategy,
• Supervising junior staff and direct reports, providing mentorship and delegation of responsibilities as they grow their skills and deliver on projects,
• Enforcing design quality, including reviewing work completed by team reports,
• Preparing high quality documentation and confidently presenting to external client groups on project related matters, and
• Assisting with the sourcing of new clients and prominent challenging projects for the studio.
