Job summary

Findex in Canberra is seeking an Associate Financial Planner to support Advisers in delivering strategic planning and investment advice. You will prepare pre-appointment work, attend client meetings, and help ensure compliance with industry regulations and Findex policies.

You’ll develop your career with mentoring from experienced Advisers and Partners, supported by structured training and education pathways, with a clear development route towards CFP goals.

Qualifications

• FASEA approved degree or equivalent.
• Diploma or Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning qualified, or equivalent.
• Interest in achieving or studying CFP.
• Proven experience in a similar Financial Planning role.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload.
• Ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

Your role, your contribution

An overview of your day-to-day responsibilities follows:

• Proactively communicate with clients and identify how Findex can best meet their needs
• Support your Advisers/Partners in providing strategic financial planning and investment advice, including investment structures, estate planning, superannuation and retirement planning
• Prepare pre-appointment work and take part in client meetings with Advisers/Partners
• Ensure advice documents are compliant with industry legislation, regulation, and Findex policies and procedures
• Coordinate production of advice documentation and help prepare SOAs
