Job summary

Chris Waller Racing in Berry, NSW, is seeking an Assistant Trainer to lead daily preparation of elite thoroughbreds and oversee trackwork, training programs and horse development.

You will coordinate riders and stable staff, manage veterinary and farrier needs, and uphold the highest standards of horse welfare, safety and racing compliance in a demanding seven-day-a-week environment.

Responsibilities

About the Role

As Assistant Trainer at Chris Waller Racing, you will play a key leadership role within one of Australia’s most successful racing stables, working closely with Chris Waller and the senior racing team.

You will oversee the daily preparation, performance and welfare of elite thoroughbreds, including trackwork, training programs, horse development and race preparation. The role will also lead and coordinate riders and stable staff, manage veterinary and farrier requirements and ensure the highest standards of horse welfare, workplace safety and racing compliance are maintained at all times.

Based in Berry, you will be self-motivated, highly organised and calm under pressure, with the leadership and communication skills to inspire a diverse team in a demanding seven-day-a-week racing environment.
