Job summary

Wallace Bishop Pty is seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager for our flagship Queen Street Mall store in Brisbane. You will lead a high-performing team, drive sales, and deliver the exceptional customer experiences Wallace Bishop is renowned for.

As one of two Assistant Store Managers, you’ll work closely with the Store Manager to mentor staff, manage rostering and operations, and contribute to profitable store performance while upholding luxury service standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a retail team, ideally in luxury jewellery or premium brands.
• Proven ability to meet and exceed sales and KPI targets.
• Strong coaching, mentoring and people development skills.

We're seeking an experienced and passionate Assistant Store Manager to join our flagship Queen Street Mall store.

As one of two Assistant Store Managers, you'll play a key leadership role in supporting one of our largest and highest-performing boutiques. Working alongside the Store Manager, you'll help lead a high-performing team, drive sales performance and ensure every client receives the exceptional experience that Wallace Bishop is renowned for. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced retail leader looking to further their management career within Australia's luxury jewellery industry.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll inspire your team, develop future talent and help deliver exceptional commercial results. You'll be responsible for:

• Leading by example in delivering exceptional customer experiences.




• Coaching, mentoring and developing team members to reach their full potential.




• Supporting recruitment, onboarding and ongoing training of new employees.




• Assisting in managing store operations, rostering and day-to-day workflow.




• Monitoring sales performance, KPIs and contributing to profitable business outcomes.

About You

You’ll be an experienced retail leader who enjoys developing people just as much as delivering outstanding customer experiences. You’ll bring:

• Previous leadership experience within retail, ideally in luxury retail, jewellery, watches or premium brands.




• A proven ability to achieve and exceed sales and KPI targets.




• A genuine passion for coaching, mentoring and developing high-performing teams.




• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build long-term client relationships.




• Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of business performance.




• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.




• High attention to detail and strong operational capability.




• Professional presentation and outstanding communication skills.




• A positive attitude, resilience and a genuine passion for luxury retail.

Jewellery or watch experience is highly regarded but not essential. We value exceptional leaders with a passion for delivering premium customer experiences.
