Job summary

GameStop in Sydney, NSW, AU seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in all facets of store operations. You will help build a sales culture, share product knowledge, and grow guest loyalty. Supervisory duties include Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the manager’s absence.

The role emphasizes coaching, onboarding, and ensuring a clean, organized shopping environment with strong customer service and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or accredited bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred.
• At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
• Video game knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, address questions/concerns promptly and courteously.
• Promote GameStop’s guest benefits and loyalty programs.
• Supervise Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in absence of Store Manager.
• Assist in managing store operations, scheduling, and payroll processes.
