Job summary

Autobarn in Melton, VIC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily operations and drive sales alongside the Store Manager. This hands-on leadership role focuses on developing a customer-focused team and delivering a great in-store experience.

You will coach and motivate staff, manage inventory, support stock deliveries, and help achieve KPI targets while maintaining a safe, positive store environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail leadership or assistant management role.
• Excellent customer service skills with a proven ability to drive sales and achieve KPIs.
• Ability to coach and motivate a team.
• Exposure to inventory, stock management and store operations.
• Experience in retail or automotive industry (advantageous but not essential).
• A positive, hands-on attitude and a willingness to keep learning.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, positive and well-run store environment.
• Drive sales by promoting products, upselling, and meeting sales targets.
• Assist customers with automotive parts and accessories advice.
• Coach, motivating and developing team members on the shop floor.
• Assisting with inventory, stock control and deliveries.

What you’ll be responsible for

As the Assistant Store Manager, you will support and contribute to:

• Assisting with inventory, stock control and deliveries
